I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS TO ASK..

Find your answers here, and if you don't, why not pop me a quick message in the pink 'Let's Chat' box.

HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT TAKE?

Treatment times vary on how advanced or detailed the required result is. Although some treatments can take around 2 hours, you should set aside 3-4 hours for your appointment.

BE HONEST.. DOES IT HURT?

Not even half as much as you think! Having had machine method eyebrow tattooing myself, I can confidently say you won’t be subjected to the depths of hell. Think of it as a 3 out of 10.

SHOULD I BRING THE BROW MAKE-UP I CURRENTLY USE SO YOU CAN GET AN IDEA OF WHAT SHADE I LIKE?

Absolutely! Then we can look at pigments shades you are familiar with. If not, we can start from the beginning!

CAN I HAVE MY BROWS WAXED BEFORE MY TREATMENT?

If you wish to have your eyebrows waxed and shaped before your treatment, this should be done at least 48 hours prior.

DO YOU DO HAIR STROKES & POWDER BROWS?

Both! I specialise in Powder Brows having had advanced training. With the hairstrokes method, pigment is implanted and carefully positioned so your own natural hair blends with the strokes seamlessly.

SHOULD I TIDY MY BROWS BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

It’s not necessary so don’t feel like you have to! I have single use equipment to tidy your brows once we have designed them plus any of those hairs you feel should be removed, could be incorporated into your treatment.

CAN I DONATE BLOOD AFTER MY BROW TREATMENT?

Current guidelines from the National Blood Service require anyone with permanent cosmetics to wait for 4 months after their treatment before giving blood.

CAN WE CHAT DURING THE TREATMENT?

Absolutely! You may think that it would be better for you to not talk as the muscles around your temples dimple when you move your mouth but rest assured I will let you know when to hold that thought! During the treatment is a really nice time to get to know each other, I feel the more topics discussed, the more relaxed my clients are.

I'M TAKING ACNE MEDICATION, CAN I STILL HAVE THE TREATMENT?

If you have been prescribed Accutane (or other retinoids), you need to be off the medication for six months before you can have permanent make-up applied. Accutane, also know as isotretinoin, has been thought to interfere with wound healing as it increases skin sensitivity. Having been prescribed isotretinoin some years ago myself, I can’t stress enough how important it is to allow your skin that time to heal.

HOW PERMANENT IS PERMANENT?

It’s important to note that permanent make-up isn’t really permanent. It’s just the term that the industry uses, and is more accurately semi-permanent make-up. It is considered permanent because the pigment will remain in the skin forever, but the longevity of the colour and its visibility will eventually fade. This can be over a period of one year to a few years. It all depends on your own skin and how it chooses to renew itself.

WHAT TOOLS DO YOU USE TO MEASURE?

A variety of tools are used during the artistry process.

Firstly I use a ruler which is applied to your forehead, this gives me an indication as to what your brows measure currently and making sure I get them the same. Pencilling in light hair-strokes.

Secondly I use cotton soaked in pigment, I make markings over your brow area and your forehead to ensure symmetry. I also use callipers for my measurements.

I then use a range of tools like a mascara wand, a highlighter to mark over any hairs I wish to remove, tweezers, a brow shaper (a small razor to remove tiny hairs) and brow scissors should they need a trim.

WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE STRAIGHT AFTER THE TREATMENT?

Brow treatments tend to look darker in colour immediately after the initial appointment, this softens in a few days. You may experience some swelling and redness but this will subside within a couple of hours. The hair strokes will also appear thicker as the channel of skin is open.

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO STRETCH THE AREA YOU ARE TATTOOING?

The tighter and more controlled I stretch small areas of your brow the crisper and finer the hair-strokes will be. Ensuring a good stretch is so important and the needle should not enter the skin unless you have this right.

CAN WE DO A VIRTUAL CONSULTATION?

Yes! Let’s get prepped and ready for your appointment. We can speak over FaceTime, Zoom or WhatsApp video call to discuss brow styles and go through the treatment, consultation forms can then be posted to get ahead of the game!

I CAN ONLY DO AN EVENING APPOINTMENT, CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?

Yes! I can be flexible with evening appointments.

I'M NOT LOCAL, IS THERE A TRAIN STATION NEARBY?

Yes! Huntingdon train station is the nearest station to my studio. There are also local bus routes for surrounding towns and villages

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE?

Card payments or cash on the day of your appointment.
